Emotional Intelligence for Managers

Tuesday, June 23, from 10am to 12 noon
An interactive online workshop facilitated by Kathy Greenier
$75.00

Take a deeper dive into the role emotional intelligence (EI) plays in effective employee engagement, and specific ways you can grow your own EI to better lead through uncertainty and change.

The relationship-building skills leaders and managers need to navigate change, build trust, and boost cohesion aren’t always innate, but they’re teachable. This workshop will help participants understand, strengthen and act on their emotional intelligence in order to foster employee engagement and a healthy organizational culture, and to drive results, even (especially) during periods of disruption and transition.

In this two-hour interactive workshop, we will explore how to leverage the skill of emotional intelligence (EI) in order to lead through uncertainty and change in the workplace. The EI model is made up of four components: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Relationship Management. We will focus on how deploying each of these four components deepens rapport, builds, trust, and boosts cohesion. We provide assignments before and after the session to embed the content and ensure practical application of the skills participants are learning. Participants will receive and review a self-assessment of their strengths and opportunities in these four areas, and leave with an understanding of what concrete steps they can take to practice EI as they navigate an ever-changing landscape.
